Wedding Session FAQ
Come with a couple pose ideas in mind of what you like, and I will help situate you when we get there and try to incorporate that when taking pictures.
I highly recommend doing whatever you are doing for your wedding, also doing for your bridal session. This means a bouquet, makeup, hair, everything! These are the pictures you will print and always look back at.
Engagement announcement photoshoot: $250/hr
Package $1000 for all afternoon
It's super helpful to have someone come with you to help hold things, like your mom or sister or friend! They can help with your dress, and making sure hair is in the right place. I would also suggest bringing a bouquet, a jacket in the cold months, water in the hot months, and bobby pins just in case your hair comes loose. Also any lipstick or lip-gloss if you think you might want to reapply it.
It's always fun to bring a blanket for sitting pictures but its not necessary. Considering bringing a change of clothes as well so you can get two outfits in. Just bring your best attitude and be ready to cuddle up with your partner.
During wedding receptions I wander around the venue to capture lots of candid photos of guests, decor, and any group shots you might want with friends and family. I fully expect to be warned before any major events take place, such as cutting the cake, so that I have time to get my lighting set up before it happens.
Shot lists typically include the following (the groups with a star next to it usually only happen with temple weddings)

Family & Friends Photoshoots .... $250/hr
Do you ever look at your family become so grateful they are yours? In our family photoshoot we hope to capture all those moments worth remembering. We spend up to an hour playing, smiling, tickling, hugging, laughing, and kissing to get the best shots of your family candidly and posed.
We will get a copy all the shots taken of the whole family together, mom and kids, dad and kids, mom, and dad together, siblings together and individuals of each child. You will cherish these pictures forever when your kids are older, and you have something to remember them when they were little.
Family & Friends Photoshoot FAQ
Your kids will not do well on empty stomachs. The best snacks to bring are pretzels, marshmallows, smarties, or cheerios. Now, here is the secret tip that will make a HUGE difference with how your children do: Do not bring out the sweet treats until halfway through the session! Sometimes it helps to not even mention that you are bringing a sweet treat for them. Only give them cheerios or something similar in the beginning. Then when they start to really lose patience, that’s when you bring out the treats and it will help them get through the last half! If you bring out the treats in the beginning, they will start off the session grumpier because they will just want more treats.
Kids are happiest during the first 15 minutes of a family session and most kids take at least 20 minutes to fully wake up from their nap. Its really hard to get great shots when that important first chunk of time is actually spent waking up. If your child is an exception to this, and can wake up quickly and is happy every time, then its totally fine if they fall asleep!
Yes, Photoshop works sometimes but not every time. If you try to keep a smile on your face the whole time, then we will get amazing pictures when your kids smile! Some sessions are spent trying to get the children to cheer up the entire time. In those cases, it is absolutely crucial that you keep a smile on your face and keep your energy high throughout the session! I still get amazing shots even with grumpy kids as long as the parents just pretend like nothing crazy is happening 😉
This works great for kids 3 and up! Offer to get a treat after, a toy from the dollar store, or an actual dollar!
In the spring and fall months, layer up so you can take layers off if its too hot, but always plan for colder weather. Please do not bring your children dressed in thin clothes or dresses without tights or layers in the winter. They will be so much happier if they are overdressed with hats, gloves, jackets and layers. Make sure your jackets coordinate with your outfits so if they have to stay on, you still look great!
Your kids will feed off of your energy. Make this a fun experience for them by being happy and playful rather than scolding them. I've been doing this for a long time and the best results always come from families who play and giggle together.

Lifestyle sessions are all about capturing this amazing time with you and your family in the comfort of your own home or at a special location. It will be less about posing, and more about natural, candid, and real moments.
